Welcome to Bezard Guitars

Hello, and thank you for visiting. I’m Will Bezard, a luthier based in Big Rapids, Michigan, driven by a lifelong passion for the guitar and an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.

From a young age, I felt a deep connection to the guitar. Playing became an essential part of who I am, and along the way, I was fortunate to learn from some truly inspiring teachers. But in my early years, I struggled to find my path. While working a minimum-wage job and nearly failing out of community college, I discovered the world of lutherie—a profession I had never considered until then. I set my sights on the Galloup School of Lutherie and saved diligently to attend. That experience transformed me, instilling a strong work ethic and setting a high standard of quality that became the foundation of my journey in lutherie.

In 2015, soon after completing my studies, I had the incredible opportunity to work with the legendary Rick Turner. Under Rick’s mentorship, I advanced through every aspect of his shop, mastering finishing, lumber milling, CNC, CAD, guitar construction, and more. Rick gave me full access to his shop, encouraging me to learn, innovate, and grow. Although it was an unexpected environment for someone with my musical background, this experience was instrumental in shaping my vision and honing my skills.

After six years with Rick, I returned to the Galloup School of Lutherie. Here, I am fortunate to contribute to the growth of new luthiers and continue to push the boundaries of my own work while working with an absolutely brilliant team of luthiers. I am honored to be part of a community dedicated to the art of lutherie and would be thrilled if you joined me at this point in my journey.
