Designed in collaboration with Karl Sanders of Nile, The Locust Plague is purpose built to withstand the crushing and unique playstyle that is Karl’s.
A main feature of this guitar is a large sloped bevel across the entire bass side of the guitar, giving the wrist room to sit in a neutral position while playing. The Locust Plague’s fretboard is also designed around being scalloped. Where most guitars are scalloped as an afterthought, this fretboard is left a bit thicker than average with relatively shallow scallops and the neck is then reinforced with graphite rods. It is as solid as a scalloped fretboard could possibly be.
The specs are as follows:
-Mahogany Body and Redwood front and back
-Maple/Purpleheart/Anigre laminate neck reinforced with graphite in a scuffed satin finish.
-Fully scalloped, compound radius ebony fretboard with a subtle 27"-26.5" scale lengths
-Brass nut, gold Hipshot hardware, Evo gold frets.
-Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups
